PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION

To award a construction contract to Hobson and Porter Ltd at a value of £7,062,915.26 for the construction of new primary school for North Northallerton on land to the east of the A167 Darlington Road, Northallerton.

BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION

A competitiveprocurement exercise was undertaken during November 2022 and January 2023 utilising the YORbuild framework.  The scheme is programmed to commence on site in June 2023 and is due to complete in May 2024.

LEGAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE

A competitive procurement exercise was undertaken by the Council’s Procurement and Contract Management Service.

RECOMMENDATION

That a construction contract be awarded to Hobson and Porter Ltd.
